The crossing of Mauritania will have left a lasting impression on La Croisi\u00e8re Verte team, for several reasons.<\/strong><\/h4>

The vastness of the desert and the almost permanent heat that the team experienced while crossing a small part of Mauritania will remain engraved in their memories for a long time to come. During the crossing, \u00c9ric often thought of what Andr\u00e9 Citro\u00ebn’s men must have experienced, at a time when there were no tracks and even fewer roads. Crossing such inhospitable terrain must have required a degree of courage that is hard to imagine today.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The team also met Hamed, a local who had never welcomed a stranger in his life, who invited them to spend the evening and night at his home. From a technical point of view, everything worked perfectly. Apart from a minor problem with one of the shock absorbers on Kamal’s car, which the team quickly resolved, the four Citro\u00ebn AMI cars continued on their way. And above all… A first autonomy record was set on this expedition: the vehicles covered 572 km on a single charge.<\/p>
