A look back at the first two weeks, between the symbolic departure of La Croisière Verte from the Paris Motor Show and the crossing of Morocco.
Three weeks ago, when Éric Vigouroux presented his expedition and his team at the Paris Motor Show, the pressure was on. At the time, he would have felt very relieved if someone had been able to tell him that everything he had planned and organised over the last 2 years was going to go exactly to plan. However, the programme was particularly busy in France and Morocco, with numerous events organised by Citroën’s partners and agents to celebrate the Croisière Verte.
With the exception of a few details, everything went very well in the end. Today, Éric and his team are proud to be able to say that they were on time wherever they were expected.
Since the start, the expedition has been progressing at the expected pace, thanks to the remarkable reliability of the cars and the high morale of the troops. This morning, 8 November 2024, the four Citroën AMIs are lined up in front of the border post, ready to cross into Mauritania in the next few hours. To date, they have covered almost 3,500 kilometres in total energy autonomy, without emitting the slightest carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
